Vets With A Mission is pleased to announce its second 2009 team trip opportunity to Vietnam!
What - Humanitarian team for medical and non-medical professionals, veterans and non-veteran volunteers.
Where – Hue City and Hong Ha, A Luoi District, Thua Thien Hue Province.
Why - Team participants will treat mostly poor people from Hong Ha Village 45 kilometers west of Hue in A Luoi District, Thua Thien Province near the Ashau Valley and the Laotian-Viet Nam border. The clinic is known as the Floyd Olsen Memorial Clinic built in memory of Army helicopter pilot Captain Floyd Olsen, MIA April 24, 1968. Most of the patients will be women, children, and the elderly. The team will work six days in Hong Ha (2 days on/1 day off/2 days on/1 day off/2 days on). Team will stay in Hue and be transported daily to and from Hong Ha. Team will also spend two nights R&R in Da Nang after the humanitarian work is completed.
Cost - $3,389 per person based on double occupancy. Price includes international flight from San Francisco, all in country Vietnam ground and air transportation, all hotels (5 Star) in Vietnam with daily breakfast; all airport-hotel-airport transfers, lunch each day in Hong Ha, special China Beach Bar-Be-Que, and visa/processing.
