The VWAM/ANCF Xangsane Disaster Relief Team:

- Repaired ourselves or paid for repairs and materials if volunteers couldn't do the work (local Vietnamese labor did) for thirty-two (32) new roofs ($8,900).
- Had one house totally rebuilt ($700).
- Purchased and distributed six (6) tons of rice ($1,800).
- Distributed to 52 people $3,400 in emergency cash stipends ($50 or $100 each).
- Donated $1,000 to cover repairs at the Love Of Arts Centre (Hilton's).
- Donated $500 for repairs to the Cafe Oz (Hilton's).
- Donated $150 to Bread Of Life and Bakery (Huff's).
- Completed major landscaping that included a drain project and a stone pathway at the Love Of Arts Centre (Hilton's).
- Presented "Welcome Wagon" style baskets of cleaning supplies, household items, rice and other food staples to home owners upon completion of their roof repair.

- Presented the government with the following disaster relief for repairs:

- $2,000 to Health Education & Information Center (H.E.I.C.).
- $2,000 to Chinh Gian Clinic.
- $3,000 to Tam Thuan Clinic.
- $3,500 to Thanh Loc Dan Clinic.
- $500 to Thac Gian Clinic.

A total of $27,450 in disaster relief and countless volunteer hours of labor and services were provided by this humanitarian team.

Two volunteers, Greg Sampat and Alex Meeking, from ANCF Vancouver BC Canada finishing up a new roof replacement project in the Marble Mountain area of Da Nang. Reconciliation - Chuck Ward, VWAM's Executive Director, with a former VC soldier after agreeing to repair the roof of his house and rebuild the house of his oldest daughter that was destroyed by Typhoon Xangsane. Volunteers from ANCF in Vancouver BC Canada, Linda Peragallo-Madam Nui-Yolanda Buxton-Judy Mackay-Julie Adam, after presenting her with a "Welcome Wagon Gift" of household supplies upon completion of her new roof being finished at her home in Hoa Hai Commune near Marble Mountain, Da Nang. Bob Peragallo and Ron Sampat, Supervisor of Roof Repairs, with a family after they had their roof replaced and had received both a "Welcome Wagon Gift and Cash Stipend" to assist them in recovering from the typhoon.

Typical structure, that is what's left of it, of the majority of homes in Hoa Hai Village or Commune in the Marble Mountain area of Da Nang. local home owner, a Mother with her daughter (in background) and her grandfather (89 yrs. old) salvaging whatever they could of her house to use the material in rebuilding it.
