Served with the 222nd Personnel Service Company of the 44th Medical Brigade at Long Binh Vietnam from November 1967 - 68. One of the first replacements for the original group that came over in late 1966 from Fort Bragg.

I served in the 56th Transportation Company, based at the helo complex, Ton Son Knut AFB, Saigon, RVN, June/67thruOct/67 (early out) before unit was transfered to Ben Cat, Units primary function- recover downed Hueys from fire fight locale, usually under fire. Recondition for return to service or return units to Corpus Christi, Tex.

Looking for anyone who might know where the heck the 134th Med. Det. was in I Corps 1970-71?
I was a CE on a slick named GUNKY with C Troop 2/17th Cavalry Regiment, 101st ABN DIV
I was grounded from flying for 72 hours on July 26, 1971 and released to fly again on July 29, 1971.
1st officer on july 26th was CPT. STEPHEN E BRAUN COMMANDING
ON THE 29TH IT WAS A CPT, ALAN VAN DYKE
FLIGHT SURGEON.
I WORKED ALOT WITH L. CO. 75TH RANGERS UP ON CAMP EAGLE AND I WAS BASED ON NORTH PHU BAI..WE WERE KNOWN AS THE "CONDORS" AND HAD A SOLID WIDE BLUE STRIPE ON OUR TAIL BOOM.
MY SLICK WAS ALMOST A BLACK IN COLOR THE ONLY ONE IN I CORPS AS I NEVER SEEN ANOTHER ONE..I WAS ON LZ SALLY 1 NIGHT AND THEN WE TRANSFERRED DOWN TO NORTH PHU BAI AND STAYED THERE..DID 22 MONTHS I THINK, MAYBE 21 (CRS)

I was a medic with B company 1st./501st.Inf. 101st. ABN. 1971-1972. Looking for anyone that can remember the name of the mexican american Sgt. from san antonio,tx. We were in a mechanical ambush that left 5 of our brothers wounded and had to medivac them.This happened between January 13-16 of 1972, on the triple canapi of Nui Ke, before the 101st. stood down and went home.I remember the names of the wounded but not the name of the Sgt. that kept us together after the ambush.
