My father, Charlie Hudh Davis, served in the Vietnam War with the 51st Infantry under Capt. Warner from November of 1979- November of 1971. He is attempting to gain disability for his PTSD in order to cover the cost of his medical needs . However, the Federal Govt. has denied his claim until he can produce names of people he served with in combat. But as most of you suffering from PTSD know, the war is not exactly something you want to "try" to remember. If anyone served in this infantry division during those years and can help prove my father was in combat. Please email me at SaraEllenDavis@Hotmail.com. I really appreciate any help you may be able to provide.

I am glad I accidentally found this site.
My husband was a vietnam vet who for many years suffered from PTSD and passed away because of it. Ironically, this was before the computers so I was told there was no record of him being there.
He was on Hill 175 which was later called Freedom Hill. I believe between 1969-1972. If anyone was in this Hill 175, I would like to hear from you. I myself is a veteran stationed in Germany in 1974.
Thanks and good luck to us all!

Agent Orange?
Just curious if my bezel cell carcinoma or memory loss has anything to do with my time in Chu Lai (NSAD 1968-69). A buddy who shared a room back then says he's dying of some kind of cancer the VA says is related to his time in Chu Lai so I was just wondering when my number will be punched.
Now I'm being told the time we spent on board the USS Morton DD-948 (1966-67) off the coast didn't help either. And then there's the bad cough I couldn't shake for 6-8 months following my return from the Gulf after Desert Storm (PSU 303, Dammam, Saudi Arabia).
Ahhh well, I'll probably get hit by a bus and it won't make a big difference. When your number's up...

I was with the 95th for 18 months at Ft. Benning and shipped out to Viet Nam from Long Beach on the USNSMSTS Geiger (ship) with several other units on board. We stopped at Subic Bay (Phillapine Is.) then on to Viet Nam. One stop to drop off one or two units then on to DaNang. When we arrived there were no docks avail. so they transported from the ship to shore by way of open top boats then transported us by bus to the beach side area by Marble Mountain where our Advance party awaited our arrival. I was one of the members of the maintenance team. (Medical Maintenance,Quartermaster Maintenance, Carpenter etc.

My father's name is Robert Eugene Miller, may have been called Bob or Bobby at that time. He served in the 4th Infantry Division from 1966-1977 in Pleiku, Vietnam. He was stationed at Dragon Mountain base camp. At the time he was 26 years old and his friends called him "Gramps" I hope there is someone out there that knows him. He would absolutely love to hear from someone.
