your mission in this web site is a great contribution in our world history.it is also an awakening specially here in in my country . that nobody wins in a war. a principle can be fought tru public service and academic merit tru public service in a positve way. its a win win situation. both sides will die in a war. survivors will live in great pain and night mares, a country in war will also destroy. and all ends nothing but a losing and dying hope for the next generation. its just an adventurism of making history in a wrong perception and its nonesense. thanks god bless

I served in Vietnam Jan. 1970- Aug. 1970. My MOS was 1341- Heavy Equipment Mechanic, but upon my arrival in RVN, I was sent to Battalion Guard/ Service Co. 7th Engineer Bn. 3rd Marines instead of Zulu Maint. We were located a few clicks from Three Corners, and the steam bathes. The night I arrived in my compound supply was closed, and I wasn't issued a weapon and gear until the next day, unfortunately we had a mortar attack that night. I remember being more frightened than I have ever been, sitting in a bunker unarmed and hearing above the sound of the mortars hitting someone in the dark bunker say "OH GOD, THEY'RE WALKING THEM IN." I would like to hear from anyone that was in Service Co. or Battalion Gd. or any of the units in our compound. If need be I can be called collect at 501-661-0743. Semper Fi and all my prayers.

I was in the U.S Air Force(6924th Security Squadron)stationed in Danang from spring of 1970 to spring of 1971.I went to the Sacred Heart Orphanage MANY times and was deeply moved by my visits.I'm currently doing a "research" piece on it (the orphanage) for my own personal reasons and I would like to be contacted by ANYONE who was there, back then, with any kind of interesting thoughts/reflections or whatever.I still miss those kids and I wonder , so many times, of their whereabouts(even though they are adults now)Please send any and all information/pictures etc. of this place.I took many pictures back then , myself, and I still get emotional when I look at them.I would also like to get some information about the nuns who were in charge, back then.I think the order was one from France. This is extremely important to me and I would appreciate any communication at all concerning the orphanage.
Thanks very much and GOD bless you all for your help.
