I was a Navy Chief Hospital Corpsman stationed at Preventive Medicine Unit at the Station Hospital, Danang Vietnam. I flew to many areas of I Corps (Phu Bai, Chu Lai, Dong Ha, Khe Sanh, Nha Trang,
Qui Nhon Quang Tri, etc.) to inspect for disease, sanitation conditions, etc. I did go as far south as Cam Ranh Bay. I did find a major Bubonic Plaque outbreak near Camp Ten Sha. I worked in vector control for a while to combat insects that case disease.

I'm searching for my grandfather. He's an american soldier who was in the Vietnam war in around 1966 or 1967. My vietnamese grandma told me his name was Bill. She doesn't know the last name. She thinks it starts with a P. It would be very important to my family if we could find him. Especially my dad who doesn't even know his father. If you know any information please email me. Thanks for your time.

I was with MCB 3 in I Corps, Hue and Dang Ha, 1967-1968. Many good memories and many, many bad memories. I came home OK for the most part. Some unidentified Marine saved my life by pulling me back into his bunker while we were under mortar attack at a place called Impact Ridge. I never got his name. God Bless him for that.

Anyone know of the two pilots that crashed thier F4 Phamton jet over Marble Mountain MAG-16 on May 22. 1968? A couple of my marine bro's and I saw the plane with it's wing on fire..it looked like a paper plane out of control. It was during daylight hours and we saw both pilots eject. One pilot steered his parachute right down our flightline. The other one landed out in the China sea. Our choppers went out and rescued him. We ran to help the one on the flightline. I remember he had leg wounds. I think he said they had been shot over North Vietnam and were trying to make it back to the Da Nang airfield. He kept making jokes. Our medics got there fast and took him to sickbay. Anyone know of the fate of these two heros? I never got thier names.
